Many van drivers, we’re sure, are aware of the visibility issues they face when driving their vehicles around town, with absolutely no rear visibility, and while the high driving position may seem like an advantage at first, it does make the less-experienced miss some details - like other less-tall vehicles on the road which are too close, like a VW Passat, for instance.
The driver of this van clearly did not see the VW and ended up ploughing straight into it with some force. Thankfully, it wasn’t violent enough to hurt anybody, but it does show that driving a van, and a larger one such as the one in the video, is quite a bit trickier than driving a regular car.
Next time when you see a van heading towards you, don’t assume that the driver has seen you and do your best to stay out of its way - we have seen far too many van-related accidents not to give this advice, and most are very similar to the one in this video.
