Eco-conscious drivers out there who have ordinary bank accounts were forced to look but not touch since paying about $100,000 for a new car was not actually on their bucket list. With Elon Musk’s grand announcement of a $35,000 Tesla Model 3 recently the somewhat premium EV now could reach a broader audience. Meanwhile, veteran sportscar tuning shops are getting more and more Tesla Model S cars in their shops.
One of the auto shops we frequently follow is The Auto Firm, a Miami-based shop. Folks here work really hard to fulfill the wishes of some of the richest sportsmen and artists out there, and we do enjoy most of their customized cars. As we were saying earlier, we did stumble upon a Tesla Model S that had fallen in their hands, and it made us raise an eyebrow.
The famous EV received a complete blacked-out job with white accents and painted white calipers. The car looks great. Let’s face it, black is the new black when it comes to tuning your car. The tuning job is not what had us thinking, however. The fact it’s most likely the first Tesla Model S we see getting pimped-out at this shop sure is.
The owner, Alex Vega, has a lot of crazy projects that vary from sportscars, supercars to boats and even some Can-Ams, but seeing Elon Musk’s EV in the works has to mean something. The auto times they sure are a changing (sorry Bob Dylan for ruining the verse).
