Bentley Conti GT Art Car Combines Batman and American Flag

The theme of this next project is called "New York" never sleeps. However, inspiration comes from two other sources that are nearly impossible to combine into an art car.

The term "art car" usually brings up imagery of BMW M1's with groovy paint jobs on acid. But in recent years, more and more companies have hired graffiti artists for a twist that's nothing like Andy Warhol.

Rene Turrek from Germany falls well within that description as his youth passion for underground graffiti has blossomed into many collaborations with everybody from Jaguar to Starbucks.

The project that pushed him to internet fame and fortune was a BMW X6 with a green Hulk paint job that revealed itself when wet. Such finishes have become his trademark, but he sometimes combines it with flags for a bit of national pride effect.

His last one was a Jaguar F-Type that had the Union Jack on top. But for this Bentley Continental GT, he went with the Stars and Stripes. Even though the car resides in New York, half of it belongs to anther city that never sleeps. Gotham and its mighty cowled Knight were liberally sprinkled onto the vehicle by Rene.

You've got the Batman logo on one of the fenders and an intricate collage of portraits on the other side. Batman is such an iconic character that everyone will turn and look at the car. Rene's art demand attention and a couple of Instagram photos.

But wait, there's more, as the commercials say. The Joker played a dirty trick on Batman's tribute car. After the graffiti artist had completed his fine work, he covered everything with black spray. Thankfully, there's a way to undo it with a simple bottle of water. Yes, water is all you need to make the black paint go transparent and reveal what's underneath again. That's because this is magic paint that only Rene knows how to use.
