Ever wonder where army tech might be headed? If you don’t, I'm sure someone else does. If you don’t believe this to be true, check out the rendering before your eyes.
Folks, don’t worry, what you are looking at is not yet in the works; it’s just a rendering from the mind of one Gurmkh Bhasin. Now before you start going off about some Russians or something like that, take note that this digital artist is based in Los Angeles, U.S.A.

It’s called the Badger Hemtt 2182, and while you were at home waiting for your new PlayStation, this designer was busy creating this "baby." As with most conceptual designs or renderings, this one, too, is bound to spark someone's interest.

One of the main reasons why I believe we all love items such as these is because they introduce technological ideas that are yet to be seen in reality. Or if they do exist, as is the usual case with the army, we just haven’t been allowed to see them yet.

The Badger, however, is here to show it all and then some. Now, before we go any further, it’s my duty to inform you that we have absolutely no specs whatsoever for the vehicle. This makes sense seeing as it’s just a visual project. But we do have a bit of information regarding some of its functionality.

First off, we can clearly see that this vehicle is huge, as any army cargo vehicle should be. But army vehicles like this already exist somewhere in the world. Heck, if I look back through my hard drive (brain), I can remember seeing something similar at least once in my previous lives. But that was long ago. Today, the world is going in a whole new direction.

If you’re unsure of the way things are heading, just look around. The past ten years have been autonomous this and autonomous that. Actually, now that I think about it, people have always wanted someone else to do their work for them. So it makes sense that the armies of the world would adopt AI-driven warfare, as they have already.

The Badger is a visual representation of that idea. That heavy-duty cab, where you even see an animated human sitting as co-pilot, is where all the magic happens. Aside from looking like an 18-wheeler cab, the interior is completely decked out with screen after screen of information and diagnostics. So many screens, in fact, that the possible co-pilots stand no chance of seeing outside. But then again, they don’t need to, that’s what AI is for.

As for the exterior look, it’s barren. This whole look was intentional. Being a cargo truck, it needs plenty of room to carry whatever is needed on the front line. That front line can also be anywhere. By the look of those tires, this dream machine is ready to carry its load through just about anything.

But things don’t just get magically carried through the woods; there must be some sort of fuel. However, don’t bother looking for any sort of traditional fuels because the Badger appears to be electric. If we have a look behind the cab, on the driver’s side, we can see a large stack of what look like batteries. Now, this is speculation, as the project page states nothing of the sort.

Aside from looking uber cool, mean, and ready to do the master’s bidding, this vehicle is here only to remind us that somewhere in the world, a war is being waged, and peace seems to be an ideal. Sad, I know. All part of the balance, I guess.
