Audi's Efficiency Challenge from A to Bee

German manufacturer Audi announced the debut of the 4,128 km-long (2,565 miles) demonstration trip. Audi will showcase, on the roads from the Lofoten archipelago in Norway to northern Italy the efficiency of its vehicles to a participating crowd of some 120 journalists and customers.

The efficiency challenge will be met by Audi vehicles from five model series: A3 1.6 TDI, S3 Sportback, A4 2.0 TDIe, S4, A5 Sportback 2.0 TFSI, A5 Sportback 3.2 FSI, Q7 3.0 TDI clean diesel quattro, Q7 6.0 TDI quattro, TT 2.0 TDI quattro and the TT RS.

The efficiency challenge, which started today, will span for some one week, until September 30. Those taking part will drive through three stages, the first stretching from the city of A in Norway to Trondheim. From there, participants will travel, in stage two, until they reach Berlin, prior to engaging in the final leg, from Berlin to the city of Bee, in Italy.

"The tour includes a wide range of roads and landscapes, taking participants along the coastal roads on the Lofoten islands and across Germany’s autobahns. The route encompasses impressive cities such as Oslo, Copenhagen and Prague as well as the towering mountains of the Alps," Audi said in a release.

The efficiency challenge is, of course, no race, so if you find yourself on the aforemetioned routes rest assured you will not see the TT RS flying by at its top speed (except, perhaps, the Autobahn section). Still, such a display of Audis must be a sight for sore eyes...
