Audi has released new versions of the myAudi app, which provides customers with features like access to the digital owner’s manual, route planning, service appointment scheduling, and even car information and remote locking and unlocking on specific models.
The new versions are available today on both Android and iOS, and according to the official changelogs, they come with three different major changes.
First and foremost, the myAudi app now features a setup assistant, with Audi explaining that owners can now allow the setup assistant to guide them throughout the initial configuration process when they add the car to the app. This is a welcome improvement especially for beginners, as some people found it more difficult to set up the app and enroll their cars.
Then, the app now features an introduction screen, which is more like a first-run experience that provides users with information on the essential capabilities of the MyAudi app.
The third addition is a mileage tracker that allows drivers to add notes about their trips with one important improvement which Audi says is based on user feedback.
“Following requests from many users, the current time is now automatically added as the target date for a new trip,” the company says.
In addition to all these changes, the new versions also come with unnamed design improvements and other bug fixes, so overall, the app should now run smoother regardless of the device.
All these improvements were originally shipped in late April in version 3.18.0 on iPhone, but an update that was released in May brought the app to version 3.18.1, so we assume that Audi further refined the experience with the new features. On Android, on the other hand, the latest version continues to be 3.18.0, with a May 6 release date, so there’s a chance that everything was running correctly here from the very beginning without the need for a revision.
