Audi is expected to announce the new A3 Cabrio rather sooner than later, and while the German automaker has remained tight-lipped on what to expect from this model, the skilled designers in the industry already know what the car should end up looking.
So what they do is create their very own designs that provide us with an early look at some of the models that are yet to see daylight.

The rendering that we see here, for example, was created by SRK Designs and shared on YouTube, envisioning a 2020 Audi A3 Cabriolet just the way you’d expect it to be. Of course, Audi is unlikely to make the new model exactly like in the video below, but on the other hand, we think the car is very accurately rendered.

Based on the 2020 Audi A3, the Cabrio overall looks like the welcome upgrade for the current generation, which itself received further polishing when the model lineup was announced. For example, the current model was last updated with new matrix LED headlights, which aligned with the rest of the A3 lineup, as well as a redesigned grille and larger intakes in the front fascia.

The rendering proposes a more modern approach that would be based on the standard A3, so most of the changes would happen to allow for the cabrio body style, with the front fascia to be mostly similar across the lineup.

Needless to say, this Audi A3 Cabrio is a model that just makes sense, and given it’s based on the Sportback in the first place, there’s a good chance the rendering is pretty close to how the model will end up looking when it gets the go-ahead.

As a side note, the video that is also embedded below shows how the Audi A3 Cabrio rendering came to be in the first place. This is good stuff for anyone trying to figure out how these things are created.
