We’d never call the Audi Q5 a stylish or unique SUV, yet they’re so convinced it’s better than the competition that they even made a commercial about it.
“Be Yourself” is about a body riding in the back set o his mom’s Q5 who notices everybody is driving the same SUV, the Lexus RX.
Somehow, American suburbia loves itself a bit of Lexus blandness, but is that really true? Of course not, there’s plenty of Audis out there, and the fact of the matter is most of them are pretty dull.
The Q5 is supposed to have an “unmistakable profile and unique LED lights”, but the cheaper Lexus has three headlight bulbs on each side.
Also, it’s amusing to thing that Audi changed only the tips of the grille on the Q5 facelift, while Lexus gave the RX a whole new look. They’d be much better off making something more stylish than taking cheap shots at the Japanese.
