Audi has managed to keep its sales momentum in November, announcing an all-time record that follows another best-ever result in October. The total number of new and certified pre-owned vehicles is higher than the previous November record set in 2006.
Audi sold 9,365 luxury vehicles during the aforementioned month, a 37.5 percent increase over the 6,810 vehicles sold in November 2009. During the first 11 months of 2010 Audi’s new car sales rose by approximately 20 percent over last year’s 73,686 vehicles sold.
Dealers across the US regions performed well, with Southern regional sales being especially high. In fact, the company has seen its forth consecutive month of growth, thanks in part to the launch of the new 2011 A8. The highly anticipated flagship Audi has seen sales of 310 cars just in November and is expected to continue doing well for the brand.
Other models that did well in the US include the A3 hatchback and the Q7 SUV. November 2010 Audi A3 US sales jumped 102% over 2009, thanks to high demand for the TDI version, which has been named 2010 Green Car of the Year. Audi’s A3 TDI clean diesel models accounted for nearly 70% of vehicles sold in the A3 line. This is the best monthly result for the A3 in the US. In the SUV segment, 500 more Q7 luxury crossovers were shifted by dealers compared to November 2009.
“It is no surprise that Audi continues to remain in the coveted pole position within the luxury vehicle market with an exceptionally strong brand identity and superior vehicle offerings,” said Audi of America Chief Operating Officer Mark Del Rosso, in the press release stating the company’s results.
