Aston Martin Supports Vantage GT4 Race Teams

The Vantage GT4 race car registered an unexpected success since its launch as the Vantage N24 three years ago. British carmaker Aston Martin therefore announced it has launched a four-section programme to offer enhanced support and incentives for European race teams and owners this year.

One of the sections is a new six round competition, the Aston Martin British GT4 Challenge, an official one-make series that comprises five rounds of 90 to 150 minutes on circuits from UK and Belgium.

In Germany, Aston Martin will run the Aston Martin Nürburgring Trophy within the ten race VLN series of four hour races on the Nordschleife circuit. Thirdly, the Aston Martin Twenty Four Hour Challenge will recognize GT4 class results in the Dubai, Nürburgring, Spa and Silverstone (Britcar) 24 hour races in order to further encourage entries to these races.

Finally, Aston Martin Racing will continue its on-event parts and technical support for Vantage customers competing in the FIA series. Additionally, the Aston Martin GT4 Cup will be awarded to the best placed Vantage driver within the championship. A range of trophies and prizes will be awarded to drivers and teams with official factory tests offered to winning drivers of all four competitions.

“GT4 racing not only demonstrates the capabilities and pedigree of our V8 Vantage road car, but also connects us directly with our customers, so we are delighted to offer them a greater choice of events along with rewards and incentives for choosing to race our cars.” David King, Aston Martin’s Head of Motor Sport, said in a release.
