The Range Rover is renowned for the amount of interior space it offers, courtesy of its bluff-sided design, which aside from giving it ample interior space for five, also maintains its characteristic style. However, some customers need even more from their Range Rover, so they ‘alter’ it, to suit their specific needs.
This particular example, from China, has been given a radical makeover, by Belgian company, Carat Security. It is now 50 cm longer, as well as armored to the B6 level, which basically means that it can repel anything up to a machine gun, so mines, rocket launchers and cannons would have no problem taring it to shreds.
An interesting feature worth noting, on this particular extended-wheelbase mod, is the fact that it features two dashboards. One of them is where you’d expect to find it, while the other is located in the back, for the rear passengers to benefit from the exact same features as the driver and front passenger.
While it may be unusual, we must admit that it is definitely a cost-effective way to maintain the interior ambiance of a typical Range Rover, without having to fabricate everything yourself.
