Lotus is not the only British sports car firm undergoing management changes, as the CEO of the Caterham Group, Ansar Ali has stepped down from his position by mutual consent, after having been with the company for the last seven years. His main responsability as CEO was the relaunching of the Caterham Seven range as well as reaching financial stability in the long term.
He is replaced by former Chief Financial Officer (CFO), Graham Macdonald who has also been with the company for seven years. According to the group’s chairman, Tony Fernandes Macdonald “is the perfect person to take over and lead the company and his experience and dedication will help us make a smooth transition into the next chapter of the Caterham Cars story”.
We’re curious to see whether this change in management will change policies and philosophies at Caterham - maybe they’ll make an all new car, for a change - they are more than capable of doing so, technically at least.
