We really don`t understand those Audi TT owners who want to turn their front-engined, front-wheel drive (most are bought without the optional all-wheel drive Quattro system) coupes into R8 lookalikes. All will fail because there is simply no way to do it in any kind of tasteful way.
Sure you can give it the side blades of an R8, as well as special R8-inspired bumpers. You can even paint it an outrageous colour, give it a wide body kit and large rims, but will still be a TT, and everybody will know that.
This particular TT tries really hard, and like all others before it, the result is somewhat of a fail. It does`t necessarily look bad, with all the extra bolt-on bits, red paint and carbon wrap on the hood, roof and rear spoiler, but we`re still not convinced.
The car also gets some rather low-quality-looking alloys, which may be big (20- or 21-inch judging from the photos), and wrapped in low profile rubber, but they still don`t make this TT into an R8.
