The Audi TT-RS plus is easily one of the best cars made by the Ingolstadt manufacturer, with its 360 hp and 465 Nm (343 lb-ft) of torque it sprints from 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) in one tenth over four seconds, before topping out at a very respectable 278 km/h (174 mph).
However, aside from the sleek body with the usual ‘RS’ touches that Audi pretty much copies from one car to another, giving them a ‘family image’ which appeals to some, while leaving others completely cold, the car’s main party piece is its five-pot turbocharged engine, with an unmistakeable engine note (similar to that of the Focus RS) which harks back to Audi’s glory days of rallying - it is simply one of the best sounds made by any car, for any amount of money.
Enjoy the five-cylinder warble, with its pops and shrieks, as it is a spectacle in and of itself and it can be enjoyed completely separately from the actual experience of driving the car, courtesy of this video by NM2255.
