What is it with Audi TT owners trying to make their cars look like the R8? They wouldn’t be fooling anybody, now would they, as the difference is so big that no amount of fiberglass and filler could bridge the gap.
It doesn’t even make the TT look any better than it already does, if anything, it detracts from its appeal, as people looking to buy a TT want something sporty, German and clean-looking - qualities which a standard TT delivers in spades.
Take this first-generation TT from Sweden. The owner is advertising the car online for sale. He is asking some €8,500 ($10,500) for it. We think it’s far too steep for what is basically a 2001 TT with some bolt-on bits of questionable taste.
We would honestly stay away from such a car, because it’s not really something anybody would like to buy/own - who would want to be seen at the wheel of this car?
