Even though Porsche and Daimler have very few models that match up against each other, Stuttgart is rapidly becoming a battlefield for the two automotive giants. One of the three-pointed-star's newest secret weapons has been caught out in the open though, but thankfully it's a foot sodier that Porsche isn't very interested in.
As far as foot soldiers go, the C-Class is a very important one, designed to fight toe to toe with other German compact fighters, like the F30 BMW 3 Series and the aging Audi A4.
This all-new C-Class prototype was seen by DrGumoLunatic a district of Böblingen, a town just 20 minutes from Stuttgart airport. Obviously, the engineers didn't want us to see what's going on under the covers, but unfortunately for them, we have photos of a fully-revealed C-Class already.
This black prototype is a diesel, likely one of the more basic 200 or 220 CDI models. No visible exhaust pipes, no AMG-style bumper or fancy wheels for this company car in the making.
