Alfa Takes Center Stage this Weekend in Britain

Brits are getting ready to celebrate National Alfa Day, on the 24th of June, and this event couldn't go unnoticed by one of the most important Italian cars tuners in Great Britain, Autodelta. The owner of this West London based company is Jano Djelalian, an Italian cars enthusiast, who has been working hard to modify an Alfa Brera, and this model will be presented at the upcoming event.

Jano Djelalian and his team have worked around the clock and have come up with a “badder” version of the Alfa Brera, which they call Autodelta Brera J5 3.2 C (C stands for Compressore). They took the 3.2 V6 version of the Brera which was able to develop 260 horsepower at 4500 rpm and added a Rotrex C30-94 supercharger, managing to squeeze 353 horsepower out of the Italian powerplant. Ninety three horsepower more than the original is not exactly something that goes unnoticed when you push the gas.

Torque has also increased, from the original 322 Nm at 4500 rpm up to 430, the Brera's 0 to 100 km/h performance also been affected. The factory measurement of 6.8 seconds is now something to laugh at, because now you need only 5.3 seconds to reach the 100 km/h mark. The top speed is now of 260 km/h, you can forget the 240 km/h, obtainable by any regular Brera.

You can judge for yourself if the Autodelta Brera J5 3.2 C is worthy of being showed off at National Alfa Day on the 24th, but note that this four wheel drive sportscar will debut this weekend in the Goodwood Festival of Speed. Held on the 22nd and the 23rd, Friday and Saturday will also welcome Alfa 8C Competizone, Alfa P2 Gran Premio, Alfa Tipo B and Alfa 33 Daytona.

Great cars need to mingle with great people, and the organizers have invited racing legends Sir Jackie Stewart and Sir Stirling Moss, as well as newcomer and possible F1 world champion, Lewis Hamilton. Sounds like three days of motoring galore for the Brits.
