Sergio Marchionne’s new plan for the Alfa Romeo brand is due to be released in April 2014, but new details are already starting to surface. A recent report from Automotive News claims Alfa Romeo will develop a new RWD/AWD architecture that will underpin several models.
The first one will be the Giulia, which is scheduled to debut in late 2015, but a large sedan, a mid-size coupe and a large coupe will reportedly follow by 2016. The sedan should rival de BMW 5 Series and the Mercedes E-Class, while the coupes will compete against the BMW 4 Series and 6 Series respectively.

The website goes on to say the Italian company is also considering three different crossover. The smallest one will ride on the same platform as the model that replaces the Jeep Compass/Patriot, while the mid-size one will use the new RWD/AWD architecture. Lastly, a rebadged Maserati Levante could arrive in late 2016.
