Alfa Romeo says that the Giulietta is a huge hit in the Italian compact car market, as in May sales it dominated with almost 3,500 sales and a market share of 20 percent. Largely to blame for this is the introduction of a 1.4-liter 120 horsepower turbo engine, borrowed from Fiat, to the range.
Alfa Romeo has decided it needs a way to bridge the gap between the sporty QV model and the more economical models. Much like BMW offers M Sport packages for regular diesel model, so two can you mimic the look and feel of the QV on the regular Giulietta with the Sportiva line.

By the middle of June, the Giulietta Sportiva will be available across Italy, available with the 1.4 Turbo 170 HP MultiAir, available with h automatic double-clutch Alfa TCT gearbox, as well as two diesels - the 2.0 JTDM 140 HP model and the 170 HP 2.0 JTDM, the latter also available with TCT.

Cosmetically, the car is set apart from the regular Giulietta by its cloverleaf badges, lowered sports suspension, 18-inch wheels with 225/40 tires, side skirts and Brembo brakes with red calipers. The styling package is completed by a leather interior, custom door sills, privacy glass and brushed aluminum wing mirror casings.
