The long-term existence of the Alfa Romeo brand under their new corporate overlords at Stellantis group has been brought into question at times recently. There's a sense that the awe and occasion native to the Alfa Romeo brand might not be as robust as it once was with a non-Italian-run international group calling the shots and meddling with Alfa's trademark quirkiness which defined the brand for well over a century. Well, the Stelvio SUV and the Giulia sedan might not be like more traditional Alfa's, but their all-new Quadrifoglio Carbon Editions sure are badass regardless.
The Giulia and the Stelvio Carbon Editions are all new for the 2024 model year. With luxurious, super-premium styling options galore on both the interior and exterior of these two Alfa Romeos, there's a feeling that the old-school Alfa lunacy's started creeping back into the Stellantis-run operation in a way that excites as much as it pleases the eyeballs.

Fresh off a major update for 2024, the twin Carbon Edition Alfa Romeos leave the factory sporting high-end exterior additions like a carbon-fiber V scudetto grille flanked by similar-looking mirror caps on either side to distinguish itself from other trim packages.

Trademark gold-painted brake calipers let you know right away that you're looking at not just another base model Stelvio or Giulia. With plush, red leather seats trimmed on every Carbon Edition Alfa Romeo, simply opening the door of these wicked rides and peeping a look at the interior tells you right away that these are top-of-the-line, range-topping vehicles that are desirable and collectible in ways lower-trimmed vehicles in the lineup might not necessarily be.

The added carbon fiber interior trim pieces might not pop out in the same way the seats do, but anyone who forks out $84,875 for the Giulia and $92,275 for the Stelvio in this limited-edition configuration is sure to appreciate the finer points of the interior.

"We’re excited to offer our North American consumers further customization with the new Alfa Romeo Carbon Edition, which enhances our sporty Italian style with a unique and head-turning appearance on top of an unrivaled driving experience," explained Larry Dominique, head of Alfa Romeo, North America, when he gave his statement on what a huge achievement the Carbon Edition line of vehicles was to the Alfa Romeo brand in the region.

"This limited edition elevates the passion of Alfa Romeo with a beautifully crafted design combined with the unsurpassed performance from our legendary Quadrifoglio models."

Of course, you can buy some pretty impressive hardware from other luxury automakers for similar money. But none of them will have anywhere near the same level of pantomime and pure pomp and circumstance that Alfa Romeo vehicles, both past and present, have in spades.
