Not everyone is willing to spruce up their lives with a classic ride due to the obvious issues that might spark up. However, if you feel like you can no longer live without a nice Chevrolet Impala, look no further than the pictured copy.
It is a 1964 model, which places it in the third generation of the series that came out at the end of the '50s and lived until a few years ago. As you can see, it has been fully restored, so everything is in top-notch condition. After signing your name on the dotted line, you only need to put some gasoline in the tank and fire up that naughty V8.
But what type of V8 are we looking at? According to the vendor, that would be a 409 ci unit. The 6.7-liter lump is said to kick out a healthy 425 horsepower (431 ps/317 kW), and from what we can tell, it appears to be the original engine. Several manual and automatic transmissions were offered on the third-gen Impala, and this SS features a four-speed stick shift for more engaging drives.
On the outside, this old timer features a classy black paint finish completed by multiple chrome appointments. It is a timeless configuration that looks perfect to us, and it comes with a red leather interior that is both elegant and youthful at the same time, with emphasis on the former. After all, we are looking at a sixty-year-old car, and a dreamy one, for that matter.
Unfortunately, there isn't anything else that we can tell you about it, as the vendor hasn't released any additional information about it at the time of writing. However, they do say a picture is worth a thousand words, and we've shared quite a few in the image gallery above. Should you want to see this classic ride from more angles, then you will have to click on this link, which will take you to the online ad.
Nevertheless, don't do that just yet, as we still haven't told you what you must do to buy it. That would mean attending the Mecum Indy 2024 auction next month, which will take place between May 10 and 18, 2024. This 1964 Chevy Impala SS is said to go under the gavel on the last day of the event, and the auction house hasn't provided an estimated selling price.
Still, given the extra shininess inside and out and under the hood, that great V8 motor combined with a stick shift, and the timeless look, we reckon it will fetch just under $100,000. Of course, we could be wrong, and it might go for a bit more or maybe less. This is one car we'll keep an eye open for.
