British author E.L. James, Erika Leonard on her real name, is the first person in England to buy a Tesla Model S. Famous for writing the Fifty Shades of Grey erotic romance novels trilogy, the author seems to be satisfied of the green car and says it “ticks all the boxes.”
We'll take the time to remind you that James’ combined novels have sold over 35 million copies in the United States and over 70 million copies worldwide. With her success, the British author managed to set the record as the fastest selling paperback of all time. We’re looking at the highest-earning author in Forbes’s August 2013 list, with earnings of around $95 million (EUR 74 million).

So, for all you trolls out there thinking that books are not cool anymore, it’s time to learn the difference. And we don’t even want to think of Game of Thrones’ creator, George R.R. Martin...

As to the red Tesla Model S going to Big Ben’s homeland you’ll rethink whatever bad impression you might have about the green movement. The Model S is exempt from vehicle excise duty and the London congestion charge, being also eligible for the 100 per cent First Year Allowance for company purchase and zero per cent Benefit in Kind.

So not only you’ll drive the 130 mph (209 km/h) top speed green car packed with a 310 kw/422hp monster motor, but you’ll also get some financial help from the government while you’re at it. As a matter a fact, CEO Elon Musk’s plans are pretty big for the British market, as the company is planning to register similar sales to those from the U.S. market.

The right-hand drive Tesla starts at £50,280 ($84,500/ EUR62,300) in the UK including a £5,000 ($8,400 / EUR 6,200) government grant, with top end models capable of traveling 312 miles (502 km) on a single charge and accelerating from 0-60mph (0-97 km) in 4.2 seconds.
