465 HP Audi TT RS by MTM Is a Loud AWD Rocket

The TT RS is one of the fastest cars made in Germany, with an official 0 to 100 km/h sprint time of just 3.7 seconds. However, that hasn't stopped tuner MTM from squeezing even more grunt out of the engine.

In stock form, the latest 2.5 TFSI engine produces 400 HP and 480 Nm of torque. Unlike the old unit based on "Iron Gustav," this new generation features aluminum construction. Marginally more efficient and 33 HP better than the old ult found in the 2015 RS3, this thing expresses everything that's right about the Audi brand.

MTM had a quick look at the mapping and decided the 2.5 TFSI could actually deliver 465 HP and 570 Nm of torque. The result is a quicker 0 to 100 km/h time of just 3.3 seconds. She will also do 200 km/h in 11.5 seconds and will easily crack 300 km/h.

The cost of the upgrade is €2,890 plus another €400 for installation. Of course, there are other goodies available from MTM, a tuner well known for its work with the 2.5-liter engine.

For example, you can fit the TT RS with a €4,590 stainless steel exhaust with a butterfly valve that's controlled by a €450 remote. The famous V3 coilover suspension from KW can also be used to turn it into a track car for just €2,019. But they haven't messed with the styling yet, and that's probably a good thing.

Unfortunately, the unrestricted autobahn still has trafic, so the TT RS can't fully stretch its legs. But you get a sense that it's an effortless speed machine designed for high-speed stability. Also, it makes a heck of a racket that most say can't be matched by the M2 or A45. If you want more, there's also a 500 HP TT RS from ABT, and it's even got extra aero.
