Honda has just unveiled a mildly-updated version of their CR-Z sporty hybrid at the Paris Motor Show. To emphasize its sporty character, they have asked in-house tuner Mugen to give it some extra go, and they have! With the aid of a supercharger kit, they have managed to increase the 1.5-liter engine’s power up to 156 hp, which gains 20 more horsepower when the electric motor is fully contributing, meaning it has a total of 176 hp.
It also features slightly different exterior styling details, including a carbon fiber bonnet, different and more aggressive fog lamps, carbon wing mirror, large rear spoiler, revised bumpers and skirts, as well as special 17-inch rims, finished in dark matte grey. Inside, it gets new sports seats, alternative trim materials (with blue accents), as well as a boost gauge for the supercharger, mounted atop the center console.

Only 300 will ever be made, all of which will probably be sold in Japan, with a few making their way into the hands of UK drivers. It is expected to cost somewhere in the region of £33,000 / $55,000, when it goes on sale in late November.
