Take this concept from Hummer, of the new H3, which is more like three separate models, but who’s counting? Two of them are actually modified versions made by the boys at Hummer, while the third, called the H3 Alpha is made by Four Wheeler Magazine as a pet project.
The first concept is called the “Weekend Warrior” and it was built to demonstrate “the added extreme capability and functionality that can be accomplished with the H3T and a few weekends in the garage”. It features an added 70 hp to its 5.3 V8 engine, a 3.5-inch exhaust system, 35-inch BFGoodrich Baja tires and aftermarket suspension. As an added bonus, they stuck a Baha Orange KTM 450 SX-F dirt bike fitted with Hummer accessories.
The next model is the H3 X concept, which is more stylish and closer related to the factory version. It has bright roof crossbows, chrome fuel filler door, assist steps and brush guard. The car sits on 18-inch rims, wrapped in massive 35-inch-tall tires. Additional features include black chrome finish on exterior components, clear turn signal and side repeater lenses and body-color rear bumper extensions.
The last model is the H3 Alpha Four Wheeler Project concept, also dubbed the “Trailhugger”. This was conceived as the exact opposite of the H3 X, with a total lack of glamour. The editors of Four Wheeler magazine went for nitrogen-charged shocks, 16-inch wheels, Gobi Stealth roof rack with a wireless perimeter lighting system and a Warn XD9000 winch.
Now there’s something for the off-roading community to feast upon. If you have nothing to do next week and you happen to be in Vegas, make sure you check out these babies at the SEMA show.
