Fresh out of the oven, the 2024 Tesla Model 3 Performance is a fine-looking machine. But in case you want to crank up the eye candy to eleven, Tesla specialist Unplugged Performance has got you covered with an aero kit made from carbon fiber.
First and foremost, prospective customers are presented with a full kit comprising the Ascension-R rear wing, a front diffuser, trim for the factory rear diffuser, rear spats, side skirts, deflectors, front canards, and a front lip spoiler. Priced at $7,430, the aerodynamic kit was developed with the help of computational fluid dynamics (CFD) simulation.

The pre-preg carbon fiber (a.k.a. dry carbon fiber) is much superior to the wet stuff because it's lighter and more durable than carbon fiber sheets that haven't been pre-impregnated with resin. Prospective customers are further presented with two finishes, namely gloss or matte carbon-fiber parts. There's no pricing difference between them.

Of course, adjustable rear wing brackets and the necessary mounting kits are included in the aforementioned price. Meant for the 2024 Tesla Model 3 Performance exclusively, the aero kit was designed with downforce in mind, with said extra downforce compromising the car's driving range.

Those who aren't willing to exchange too many miles of range for the full kit can always go for the individual parts they fancy the most. For example, the bumper-mounted front canards are $265. The rear diffuser trim is slightly pricier at $295, while the front bumper deflectors will set you back $395.

Unplugged Performance also sells only the front part of the aerodynamic kit, which can be yours for a cool $3,050 at the moment of reporting. Hawthorne-based Unplugged Performance also lists a number of wheel options for the Highland-spec Model 3 Performance, starting with BBS flow-formed Flugplatz wheels at $698.75 per corner.

The pictured vehicle is rocking UP-05 forged wheels at $3,595 to $4,695 per set of four, whereas the most expensive option is UP-03 carbon wheels at $19,995 to $20,995. The carbon-fiber wheels can be had in 19-, 20-, and 21-inch flavors in a multitude of finishes on all series-production Teslas since the original Model S from 2012. To whom it may concern, $19,995 is almost 38 percent of the Model 3 Performance's cash price (excluding savings).

Tesla wants $52,990 for the recently updated Model 3 Performance as opposed to $47,740 for the Long Range All-Wheel Drive and $38,990 for the Standard Range Rear-Wheel Drive. In addition to specific exterior styling cues, the Performance also stands out from the Long Range by means of sportier seats, adaptive suspension, Track Mode V3, 20-inch forged wheels, and summer-only tires.

The highlight numbers are 2.9 seconds to 60 miles per hour (97 kilometers per hour), a top speed of 163 mph (262 kph), and 296 miles (476 kilometers) of driving range on a full charge. If you place an order today, the Model 3 Performance of your liking will be delivered between May and June 2024.
