Ladies and gentlemen Porschephiles, we are currently expecting Porsche to release the Nurburgring number of the 2018 911 GT2 RS. Meanwhile, the Rennsport Neunelfer is still present at the Nurburgring, keeping us on our toes.
And the latest King Kong sighting comes from Paul Wallace (heavy YouTube surfers among you might recognize him as the man behind the Supercars Of London channel.

The vlogger recently visited the Nurburgring, coming across what seems to be the GT2 RS test car we showed you back in August - the said spotting saw the Zuffenahuse machine jumping from one rumble-strip to the other on the track.

The rumor mill talks about the 700 hp incarnation of the rear-engined coupe having the potential to set a new Green Hell production car lap record. We have to mention that such an achievement would require the uber-Neunelfer to beat the 6:52 lap time set by the Lamborgini Huracan Performante.

We'll remind you that Mark Webber delivered an important hint towards the 2018 Porsche 911 GT2 RS' Nordschleife performance, letting it slip that the machine had hit no less than 208 mph (make that 335 km/h) on the infamous circuit's main straight. To the best of our knowledge, the said value tops any other velocity number delivered by street-legal machines while lapping the Ring. And while the main straight speed alone can't dictate a lap record, this can certainly be considered an important indicator of the vehicle's stopwatch might.

Those of you who happen to be in a rush and wish to skip straight to the GT2 RS action should go to the 5:20 point of the video. Nevertheless, the clip also shows other delicious test cars, such as the Jaguar XE SV Project 8, which we discussed earlier today - we're expecting the Leaping Cat to attempt a Nurburgring production sedan lap record with the 600-pony, all-wheel-drive machine.
