If you happen to be a fan of the 2018 Porsche 911 GT3, this is a great time to be online. European showrooms have started receiving their Gen 2 GT3s earlier this summer and the time has now come to move on to the uber-special configurations.
Case in point with the Neunelfer we have here, which has just landed at the Porsche Zentrum Dusseldorf, in Germany.
Err... no. This is not Paris Hilton having her way with the 911 GT3 configurator. As any Porschephille will point out, we're actually looking at a tribute to the infamous 917/20 racecar that deserves a well-lit place inside the German automotive producer's cabinet.
Sure, the truffle sniffer details of the racer, such as the cuts, are missing, but the spec of the car is more than enough to serve the purpose mentioned above. Speaking of which, we're inviting you to zoom in on the Porscha, as the little details are just as juicy as the big picture, with the pink brake calipers and the all-LED headlights serving as brilliant examples.
This is obviously not the first GT Division 991 to pay a nod to the Pink Pig. In fact, last time we discussed the matter, we brought you a GT3 RS PDK that went all the way.
Not only did the Rennsport model replicate the #23 livery, but the car also came with a beater visual twist, making it seem like it had spent a lifetime on the racetrack.
Unlike the 2018 Porsche 911 GT3 we have here, the RS model we showed you back in February connected to its circuit pedigree via a wrap, which made for one of the coolest second skin jobs we've seen to date.
Oh, and if you feel the need to check out the details of the 917 Pink Pig, make sure to check out the piece of footage below. The clip will take you inside the Porsche Museum, talking about the history of the machine.
