The 2018 Mercedes-AMG C63 Sedan is just around the corner, with a prototype having recently been caught on camera.
As you'll be able to notice in the spy footage at the bottom of the page, the uber-sedan comes with a mean soundtrack. However, the quadruple tailpipes aren't the production units, which should skip the rounded shape of the hardware found on the prototype for the traditionally trapezoidal layout of Mercedes-AMG monsters.
While the all-LED headlights are now exposed, the front and the rear aprons remain camouflaged, with the German automaker being willing to keep the redesigned bumpers hidden. Nevertheless, we can be certain of one thing - those front apron air intakes will be overly generous.
Since the Mercedes-AMG C63 Sedan is already one of the most potent cars in its class, we're not expecting the mid-cycle revamp to bring any major changes in the firepower department.
As such, the twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8 occupying the engine compartment of the four-door model, which now delivers 476 hp or 510 ponies in S trim, should get a small muscle bump. More importantly, the Affalterbach engineers will optimize the power and torque delivery, so you can expect even more serious low- and mid-range grunt.
Of course, the cabin changes brought by the C-Class revamp will also be found on the Affalterbach model. This means that, aside from the center console control updates, we'll also receive new materials and extra standard features.
Mercedes-AMG is set to deliver the revamped incarnation of the C63 Sedan by the end of the current year, with September's Frankfurt Motor Show being a likely venue for the introduction of the super-sedan. As for the market release of the V8 wielder, this is scheduled for the first quarter of 2018.

When will those in the market for such a four-door rocket by able to get their hands on the facelifted C63?
