If you’re a young rider wanting to make your way into adventure, the 2017 Kawasaki Versys-X 300 should definitely be on your list now that it will reach dealerships soon and also got a decent price tag.
Versatile, capable and comfortable, the Versys-X300 motorcycle is the new entry-level model in the award-winning lineup and Kawasaki is excited to encourage a new generation of motorcyclists set on making their own adventures.

The bike will be available in the U.S. starting with Spring 2017, and is offered in two versions - standard and ABS. The former comes with an MSRP of $5,399, while the antilock-braked one wears a $5,699 tag.

We’d say it’s a fair price considering how much bike you get for the money. However, don’t forget that you will most likely going to invest in some optional features, such as a decent set of cases and maybe some frame guards.

The heart of the Versys-X 300 is the same 296 cc water-cooled parallel-twin engine that powers the Ninja 300. However, this version has been tuned for low and mid-range power delivery to be more useful in rougher terrains.

It also comes with a soft pull Assist and Slipper clutch to make things easy for a beginner, while fine atomizing injectors and dual throttle valves will offer better combustion and, thus, a small fuel consumption. To be more precise, Kawasaki says this will do over 248 miles (400 km) on a tank.

The Versys-X 300 isn't bad when it comes to design either. The large-volume bodywork features a fashionable adventure look, delivering that “big bike look” most adventure riders look for.

We also know back from EICMA this year that there will be two special editions at launch. One is the Urban, which is fitted with a tank pad, hand guards, center stand, and a 30-liter top case. The other is called the Adventure and has tubular engine guards, tank pad, center stand and two 17-liter hard cases.

No words about the price for these two so far.
