If we are to discuss a supercar you can order today, the specs will undoubtedly be sweet, regardless of the one you choose. But what about the real-world performance?
Well, when it comes to aspects such as the top speed, nothing beats a test on solid tarmac and we're not just talking about carmakers cheating and delivering smaller real-world values than promised, as that rarely happens. Come to think of it, the instances that see supercars surpassing expectations are more often.

And we're here to discuss such a road test regarding the European twin of the 2017 Acura NSX, the one with a Honda badge.

Auto Bild took the go-fast hybrid to a derestricted section of the German Autobahn, where the supercar's maximum velocity was put to the test. And the piece of footage at the bottom of the page allows you to check out the gas-electric weapon in action.

The NSX managed to climb up to 309 km/h (191.9 mph) on its digital speedo and, given the 191 mph official top speed mentioned by the automaker, things are in check - note that the supercar hits the said value at the top of eighth gear, while switching into ninth gear immediately after that.

As a reminded, the new NSX is animated by a twin-turbo 3.5-liter V6 that delivers 500 hp and 406 lb-ft (550 Nm) of torque. Factor in the electric side of its powertrain, which consists of three motors sipping their electron juice from a lithium-ion battery, and you'll end up with an output of 573 hp and 476 lb-ft (645 Nm).

In our book, the NSX is the kind of supercar one must buy and enjoy in isolation. You see, while drag racing and track tests show the Japanese machine can fall behind its competitors, nobody can take away the manner in which the NSX tickle one's early adopter bone.
