If yesterday we brought you the price tag for Shelby GT350R's state-of-the-art wheels, today is time for the Shelby Mustang GT350 to let down its guard.
Ford prepared a sourcebook for dealers, as they need to train their sales people who will try to persuade folks into buying the new 2016 Shelby GT350.

Lucky for us, a Mustang6g forum user had the whole sourcebook printed by a dealer, so that's how we can give you almost all of the specifications and details on the equipment and options for both the standard GT350 and the GT350R model.

We'll also add this is a July 2015 revision and as such, it will contain errors and omissions that should be addressed once the cars approach their mass production kick off.

The details

According to the guide, the two Shelbys will feature a 5.2-liter Ti-VCT V8 powerplant with a flat-plane crankshaft. Moreover, stopping power will be enforced by 15.5" 2-piece cross-drilled front brake rotors with Brembo six-piston calipers and front cooling ducts.

At the back, 14.9" 2-piece cross-drilled rear brake rotors with Brembo four-piston calipers will get the job done when it comes to decelerating fast.

Clients will be able to choose between standard Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires (295/35ZR19 front and 305/35ZR19 rear) or the optional Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2. The rubber will have to cope with 526 horsepower at 7,500 rpm and 429 lb-ft of torque at 4,750 rpm, delivered via the TREMEC six-speed manual.

Nevertheless, the sourcebook mentions towing trailers is not recommended for these monsters, which makes a lot of sense since they are tuned track tools.

Speaking of which, there's also an Engine Overrev Indicator that according to Ford, "helps increase the performance range of Shelby GT350. It is indicated on the tachometer by raising the redline from 6.250 rpm to 8.250 rpm.
