The Chrysler Group previously announced that it will showcase a number of Moparized vehicles at this year's edition of the SEMA show. Yes, there's a Chrysler 200, Dodge Charger, Jeep Renegade and a Fiat 500 wearing chinsy decals, cars that aren't relevant at all, but a certain vehicle stands out from that dreary crowd of tuned cars like a sore thumb.
Certain more or less official reports of recent days are hinting toward a new ACR variant of the Dodge Viper ACR, with Dodge themselves ultimately confirming it. Teased by a wide, offset black stripe joined by a slim white one and similarly slim red one, the shape these three stripes take in the pic provided clearly hint at a Viper model with revised aero bits.

Slated to debut for the 2016 model year by mid-2015, some say the new Dodge Viper ACR will replace the current Time Attack variant of the V10-powered serpent. Compared to the normal Viper breed, this upcoming ACR will get with a harder, track-focused suspension setup, super sticky rubber a la the 2011 Dodge Viper ACR's Michelin Pro Sport Cup 2 tires and new aerodynamics with emphasis on downforce.

The 2016 Dodge Viper ACR is expected to re-set a record Nurburgring lap

It's not clear if the Dodge boys will also throw in an upgraded intake and exhaust system to improve how the engine breathes, but we're utmost certain those three stripes will beautify a white body shell like that shown in the rendering pictured above. DeviantArt's Suzq044 tells that for this creation he "added some details common of the older Viper ACRs," but we're having a sneaking suspicion he's 90 percent bang on with how the thing will actually look in the flesh at the SEMA show in Las Vegas.

In other Viper-related news, next year will most likely see the arrival of a convertible Viper, which is one of the few ways Dodge can hope to attract new buyers, increasing the nameplate's sales from "disappointing" to "a little better than disappointing." Another solution adopted in order to hike the Viper's appeal and sell it in bigger numbers comes in the form of a substantial price cut of $15,000.
