2016 Acura NSX Gets Liberty Walk Kit: rendering 1 photo

Ever since the new-age NSX came out, opinions on its styling have been divided. While we here at autoevolution belong to the camp that sees this Acura’s styling as being in need of a testosterone injection, others see the appearance of the hybrid sportscar as being just right.
Regardless, we’ve come across an image that illustrates what a certainly-mean NSX would look like. We are dealing with an Acura that has been gifted with a Liberty Walk kit.

The Japanese tuner’s packages have stepped outside its home country and are turning into an international trend, mainly thanks to the unique proposal they bring.

The big question that arises here is whether this is an actual project Liberty Walk is prepared to work on, perhaps having done a rendering after being approached by a customer, or a simple pixel representation of a talented car guy’s imagination.

Liberty Walk kits require quite a bit of dedication from the owner of the host car, since installing those massive wheel arch elements requires cutting into the fenders. This hasn’t kept supercar owners from turning to these visual packages, though.

Much like Rauh-Welt Begriff’s kits, which have seen a similar worldwide evolution over the last few years, the Liberty Walk design process is down to one man alone, namely Wataru Kato.

Perhaps the most expensive machine we’ve seen in Liberty Walk trim is the Lamborghini Aventador and you can check out the extreme ride here.

All the elements we’ve seen on extreme Liberty Walk projects are present on the Acura NSX seen here. We’ve said it before and we’ll say it again - the only element that sees us raising an eyebrow is the fixed, extreme-angle rear wing.

When you have a sports car as intelligent as the NSX, installing anything less than an active wing just doesn’t seem right.
