Liberty Walk is the kind of tuner that makes people hate their unmodified (super) cars the moment their eyes fall on a similar model that went through the hands of these Japanese wide body masters.
If you’re looking for a way of turning any car into a GT3 competition car replica, then you’ve come to the right place. Maybe not the GT3 we’re used to, but a more radical competition where the car’s looks are just as important as how fast it goes around the track.

These Liberty Walk cars don’t just get wider, they’re also a lot lower, with tires that seem to scrape the inside of the wheel arches and spoiler lips that could be used to pick chewing gum off the asphalt. These cars look like they’re somehow subjected to Jupiter-level gravity right here on Earth. It’s as if there’s a constant vacuum underneath that’s pulling them no more than half an inch away from the tarmac.

Obviously, that makes cars like these totally impractical, but lamenting about that would be similar to complaining the most beautiful woman on the planet isn’t also the best chef - you’d be pushing the odds. The cars that have been touched by Liberty Walk are some of the most ridiculous vehicles out there, and that’s how they should remain.

The Maserati GranTurismo you see here is a teaser published by LB Performance on its Facebook page. It’s an ongoing project, but everything seems to be in place and, most importantly, the classy Italian GT appears to be coping well with the added metal. In fact, the Maserati appears to have found a new side to its identity, the one that our parents tell us to smother and keep hidden: yup, say hello to the evil Maserati GranTurismo we never knew existed.

Even in this bright color, the Maserati exudes menace, and it's not just the wideness of its body kit: every other element is very carefully chosen, from the front splitter to the rear air diffuser and, most of all, the discreet spoiler. A lot of people would have gone for a massive wing, but Liberty Walk Performance chose a pretty large lip spoiler, which makes the GranTurismo look a bit mysterious.

But make no mistake: this will be a conversion that will make the Maserati an instant eye-magnet when Liberty Walk finally releases the package. Just make sure you measure the opening of your garage before placing any orders.
