It took the new Mazda3 about three weeks to become official after showing up in a Japanese magazine. This could happen again with the 2015 Mazda2, which was also revealed for the very first time in a scan that surfaced onto the web.
Sold as Demio on the Japanese market, the future Mazda2 will obviously sport the company’s KODO design language seen on recently introduced vehicles such as the Mazda6 and the Mazda3. Expected to make its public debut in early 2014 as a 2015 model year vehicle, the new Mazda2 will use the automaker;s SkyActive technology while highly efficient four-cylinder engines.
Little else is known about the 2015 Mazda2, but recent rumors say it could be powered by a detuned version of the company's 2.0-liter engine. Whatever the case, we’ll be right back as soon as more info becomes available.
