Japanese automaker Honda has confirmed that it will debut the brand new 2015 Fit and the 2015 Acura TLX Prototype at the 2014 Detroit Auto Show, which is scheduled to take place next month.
Built on an all-new platform and Earth Dreams Technology powertrain, the third-generation Honda Fit will feature the company’s next-generation Advanced Compatibility Engineering body structure and promises to deliver enhanced fuel efficiency and performance, as well as class-leading safety ratings.
Moving over to the 2015 Acura TLX Prototype, the automaker says it will mark the introduction of a “performance luxury mid-size sedan” that replaces the outgoing TL model. The vehicle will feature “more emotional styling with tidier, sports sedan proportions” and two brand new engines mated to an all-new transmission.
“This all-new Acura TLX is the perfect blend of style and muscle with its elegant, well-proportioned exterior that cloaks the true sport sedan chassis and powertrain beneath,” said Mike Accavitti, senior vice president of American Honda Motor, Co., Inc. “The sporty characteristics that customers found appealing in the TSX are even more pronounced in this aggressive new TLX.”
