Production of the current Shelby GT350 will end as of January 1, as Shelby American announced earlier this year. They didn’t say when the next iteration, which will be based on the redesigned 2015 Mustang, will become available, but they did confirm they’re working on something new.
Don’t expect to see the next GT350 before 2016, but be prepared for a lot of rumors and renderings about it. We’ll get the party started with this digital Shelby GT350 that was envisioned by Hilburn Automotive, one of America’s many specialists in aftermarket development and customization.
Fitted with a widebody kit, a redesigned front bumper and a GT350-style hood, the Shelby was rendered in the classic white with blue racing stripes exterior. In addition, Hilburn added side Shelby badging, black wheels and louvres. It’s not the best 2015 Mustang-based rendering out there, but it’ll have to do for the time being.
