The Mustang Weightgate scandal comes to a close thanks to a Florida dealer that released the 2015 Ford Mustang Dealer Source Book on the Internet. Unfortunately, official power figures of all three drivetrain options are listed as 'TBD', so we'll have to wait a bit more to find out what the all-new pony packs.
The EcoBoost coupe is the featherweight of the bunch, thanks to its small, compact and light turbocharged 2.3-liter four-pot mill. With the six-speed manual transmission, the EcoBoost weighs 3,517 lbs (1,595 kg), while the automatic is a tad lighter, tipping the scale at 3,512 lbs (1,593 kg).

According to official Ford teaser info, the turbo gas engine will deliver "around 305 horsepower and 300 lb-ft (406 Nm) of torque", slightly better oomph than the entry-level naturally aspirated V6 powerplant. As for the convertible variant of the 2015 Ford Mustang EcoBoost, it weighs 3,642 lbs (1,652 kg) when fitted with the stick shift and 3,661 lbs (1,660 kg) with the auto.

In V6 guise, the all-new all-American pony tips the scale at 3,526 lbs (1,599 kg) if you like to change gears manually or 3,529 lbs (1,600 kg) if you opt for the lazy slush box. Those of you that want 90 million miles of blue sky above your head will have to make do with a dry weight of 3,644 lbs (1,652 kg) or 3,654 lbs (1,657 kg), respectively.

The naturally aspirated six-cylinder is the cheapest and least powerful engine in the lineup, and will produce "around 300 horsepower and 270 lb-ft (366 Nm) of torque". In terms of pricing, the Blue Oval will charge you $24,425 including destination and delivery for the entry-level Stang.

Last but not least, the big boy Coyote V8 model is a bit on the porky side of the scale, weighing 3,704 lbs (1,680 kg) or 3,727 lbs (1,690 kg) if you specify the automatic. That's almost 100 lbs over the outgoing GT model in fastback guise. As for the convertible, what you gain in sunshine you lose on the scale: the manual weighs 3,825 lbs (1,735 kg) or 3,852 lbs (1,747 kg) for the automatic.
