Patience is becoming a virtue when it comes to the heavily anticipated all-new 2015 Ford Mustang. But fret not because the official order guide leaked out early, revealing all the equipment and optional extras on offer.
Thanks to a Mustang 6G forum member with very sticky fingers, we've learned almost every detail there is to know about the upcoming American muscle car. The complete color palette, standard features, options and their respective code numbers, as well as descriptions for every nut and bolt available are included.
Heck, two pages of the guide are dedicated exclusively to the assortment of alloy wheel designs. Customers will also have the possibility to opt between four different rear-axle ratio settings, but that's not as important as the previously unknown features of the Performance Package.
In EcoBoost trim, the $1,995 pack consists of special chassis tuning, bigger brake rotors, a larger rear sway bar, 19-inch wheels coated in black, performance tuned electronic driving aids, a 3.55 limited-slip diff, aluminium detailing on the dash, sportier front springs, front spoiler delete and a larger radiator to keep things cool.
Including all the aforementioned equipment, the top-of-the-range Coyote V8-powered Mustang also comes with a ventilated hood, dual exhausts, the notorious electronic line-lock system inspired by the world of drag racing, larger diameter brakes on all four corners and a tablet-like 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system.
Moving on to the GT trim level, $2,495 will add a couple of interesting components on top of the EcoBoost Performance Pack. Specifically, two and a half grand will buy you a K-member brace, a strut tower bar, 3.73 Torsen limited-slip differential at the rear and six-piston front brakes from Brembo only if the car is equipped with the six-speed manual gearbox.
As for the entry-level 300 horsepower V6 model, the guide book tells us it comes as standard with HID headlights and LEDs round the back, sequential turn signals, 17-inch aluminium wheels, air conditioning, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, power windows, central locking, leather on the steering wheel and a six-speaker audio system.
