The 2015 Ford Mustang has already made its European debut in December, when the new pony was unveiled on five different continents, but the redesigned vehicle is now crossing the Pond again for the 2014 Geneva Motor Show.
With the event just around the corner - press days will commence later today - the vehicles that will be displayed for nearly two weeks are already in place, having arrived in Geneva over the past days. Among them there’s an Ingot Silver-painted Mustang convertible, which was filmed as it was rolling inside the showroom, but expect to see fastback versions of the 2015 Mustang in Geneva as well.
Appearing for the first time in Europe in 2014, the 2015 Ford Mustang will go on sale this summer and will arrive in dealerships in the fourth quarter of the year. European customers will get to choose between two engines. There’s the brand new 2.3-liter EcoBoost four-cylinder that will generate “more than 305 hp and 300 lb-ft” and an 5.0-liter V8 that will deliver “more than 420 hp and 390 lb-ft”.
The entry-level Mustang, which is powered by a 3.7-liter V6 that will produce at least 300 hp and 270 lb-ft, will be restricted to the US market and “some minor export markets,” as revealed by Mustang chief engineer Dave Pericak at the 2014 Detroit Auto Show.
Stay tuned to see the 2015 Ford Mustang in live photos from Geneva. Will be right back as soon as this highly anticipated event opens its doors.
