The all-new 2015 Dodge Challenger will make its debut at the 2014 New York Auto Show, said SRT boss Ralph Gilles.
According to TorqueNews, Gilles made the announcement while talking "to a handful of people" from Motor Trend while discussing the 2014 SRT Viper and new Corvette-smashing Viper TA. "The Challenger is about to go under the knife… it's actually under the knife as we speak […] this time next year, you will see exactly what I am talking about," he said.
As we already told you, SRT is also mulling a Challenger SRT8-based rival for the new Chevrolet Camaro Z/28 that could develop more that 550 HP. However, it's unclear if the beefed-up Challenger will arrive sooner than 2014.
In other related news, the Dodge Challenger was the third best-selling musclecar in the US in March 2013, being surpassed by the Chevrolet Camaro and the Ford Mustang.
