Chevrolet Camaro is the best selling musclecar in the US for yet another month, the Oshawa-built 2-door vehicle still leading the segment after March sales numbers have been published.
General Motors reported 8,102 Camaros sold last month, topping Ford Mustang's 7,688 deliveries by 414 units. The third major musclecar manufacturer, Dodge, handed over 6,132 keys to new Challenger owners. Despite managing to sell more vehicles than last month, all three companies recorded a decline in sales compared to March 2012.
As far as year-to-date total sales go, Camaro is the overall leader with 19,198 units, while Ford Mustang and Dodge Challenger follow with 17,320 and 14,540 examples respectively.
The next US-built car that plays in the sportscar segment is the Scion FR-S, with 1,828 vehicles sold last month, while Chevrolet delivered 1,053 Corvettes. SRT sold only 3 Vipers.
