General Motors' main weapon in the light-duty pickup truck segment just got three new wicked appearance packages. Available with the 2015 Chevy Silverado 1500 in double-caw and crew-cab guise, Rally 1 and 2 Edition packages bring a bad boy attitude to the workhorse and add sinister black bowtie badges.
All three packages can be had on the 2015 MY Chevrolet Silverado 1500 with either two-wheel or four-wheel drive, and with either the 4.3-liter V6 or the 5.3-liter V8 powerplants. Starting with the Rally 2 Edition, this package is available only with the LT trim level and features a black grille dominated by a black bowtie, killer 22-inch alloy wheels, black tubular side steps and black mirror caps and door handles. Twin black Rally stripes on the hood and tailgate are also on the menu.
But that's not all! This aesthetic package comes as standard with goodies such as a trailering package with a hitch and automatic locking rear differential, a 10-way power driver seat, dual-zone climate control, remote start, a rearview parking camera and rear defroster. The eight-inch Chevrolet MyLink radio boasts with a built-in Wi-Fi hotspot offering 4G LTE connectivity.
Not a word on pricing just yet, but the two Rally 1 Edition packages will certainly cost less than the Rally 2 Edition pictured above. One of the Rally 1 packages is available on LT Silverados and includes a black front grille with a black bowtie, black door handles and mirror caps, stripes and 17-inch aluminum wheels. In addition to those, Chevrolet also throws in a trailering package with a hitch and locking rear differential, rear defroster and backup camera.
What we expect to be the least expensive pack is the Rally 1 Edition designed for Silverado LS models. This package includes the black grille and bowtie, black door handles and mirror caps and two black Rally stripes. Chevrolet informs that double-cab Rally Editions can be ordered nationwide starting from September 4th, but those that want the crew-cab must wait until early October to order such a truck.
