Although production of the 2014 Callaway Corvette SC627 has started only last month, the specialist Chevy tuner posted pictures on its Facebook account showing one of the finished products. Does it get better than a Laguna Blue paint job, blacked out alloy wheels, 94 gazillion miles of blue sky above you and a supercharged 6.2-liter V8 tower-of-power?
That's hard to say chiefly because it all boils down to each one's subjectiveness, but you have to agree that the overall package is hard to beat in terms of excitement for both driver and passenger. "Another delivery, this one in Laguna Blue; this SC627 is simply stunning," commented the specialty manufacturer on the social network. With those looks and the 627 ponies ready to roar at the lightest twitch of your right foot, we completely agree with that.

In terms of grunt, the Callaway SC627 is just as powerful as the 2015 Chevy Corvette Z06, but the latter has a little bit more torque over the Callaway's 610 lb-ft (827 Nm). Even so, that's a lotta oomph coming from an LT1 V8 engine fed by a unique design blower. The in-house developed system includes Callaway's new intake manifold design, new intercooler design and a 2,300cc four-lobe rotor pack.

Aside from the power hike, the SC627 pack also comes with a few new aesthetic bits and bobs, while the options list has got everything the more demanding customer needs. Cost? A bone stock 2014 Chevrolet Corvette sells for $53,000 these days. On top of that, the American tuner charges you from $22,995 upwards. Moreover, the Callaway Corvette SC627 comes as standard with a three-year/36,000 mile warranty, which can be extended with a five-year/100,000 powertrain warranty.
