Triumph informs that the Indian market will finally receive the supersport machines, as well, as a nifty complement to the 10 bikes the British manufacturer is already selling in India.
That is, the 2014 Daytona 675 and 675R will be part of the line-up Triumph brings to India via the CBU (completely built units) and will take their place around the so-called "super premium" bikes.
The import duties for CBU machines over 700cc are really high, around the 7- percent mark, but they will not affect these motorcycles that badly. The smaller displacement will allow Triumph to sell them at lower prices and offer a better margin for dealers and make them more affordable. Which is good for business.
A&R reports that the the Daytona 675R is expected to receive a price of 10.15 lakh, which is around $16,250 or €11,290. How do sport motorcycles fare in India is another story, however.
