Suzuki has unveiled their quarter-liter MX machine for the next season, the 2014 RM-Z250, boasting many of the high-tech features to be met in the supreme Z450 bike, and promising an exhilarating experience for the amateur off-road racer.
The 249cc DOHC engine comes with a no-nonsense 44mm throttle body for massive power and a redesigned radiator for more consistent performance. Mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox with a quickshift feel, allowing the riders to adapt to the rigors of the race in less time and with a more reassuring feel.
Just like the new RM-Z450, the 2014 RM-Z250 brings the Showa SFF fork, with reduced friction and weighing less, while offering more controllable damping and compression, for a better ground copying.
The Separate Function Fork brings the spring inside the right leg, while the damping cartridge is located in the left one. Both being individually adjustable, the 2014 Suzuki RM-Z250 offers a wider range of settings to cover for pretty much any scenario.
A Renthal aluminium bar is standard, just like the gripper upper seat panel, providing a better feel of the bike even when there's only little contact between the rider and the motorcycle. Price and availability to be announced.
