Suzuki has just revealed the first press picture of the new, 2014 RM-Z450, one of their best-selling bikes of late.
While the price for the 2014 MY is still to be announced (and we'll bring it back to you as soon as Hamamatsu makes it official), this awesome motocross machine carries of the winning heritage of the earlier bikes and we'd love to see Suzuki offer the same 0% APR financing for the new models.
Showa is in charge of smoothing out the bumps in the way: a SFF type 2 (Separate Function Fork) takes care of the front end, with spring in the right leg and the damping cartridge in the left one: weight saving, less friction, better performance, they're all standard. The piggyback rear shock comes with full adjustability for compression, damping and preload.
The revised engine come with dual couplers, for instant on-the-fly adjustments: one for a rich and the other for a lean fuel setting. Changing between the two is a child's play, too. The mufflers have been redesigned also for more midrange grunt and easy removal of the glass wool for track use. The 2014 Suzuki RM-Z450 weighs in at 113 kg (249 lbs) and promises to be a star shining bright in the world beyond the end of the asphalt strip.
