It’s official now. If you live in the United States you can throw away those printed brochures if you want to buy yourself a new Lexus IS.
The Japanese automaker has recently activated the online configurator for its 2014 IS model, which is offered in four versions - IS 250 and IS 350, both in RWD and AWD setups. Pricing for the standard IS 250 RWD starts at $35,950 and can go up to $41,700 for the all-wheel-drive 350 model. However, the configurator doesn’t feature the hybrid IS 300h, so you’ll have to stick to the 2.5 or 3.5-liter V6 gasoline engines that power the two versions.
After choosing your powertrain, there will be eight exterior colors and four interior combinations. Next, you will see three available packages, such as the F Sport, which adds the LFA-inspired instrument cluster, 18-inch split-five-spoke alloy wheels, blind spot monitoring, aluminum pedals, sport suspension and that crazy Rioja Red NuLuxe interior scheme.
After choosing an accessories pack if you want, the next screen offers you even more features, like a remote engine starter, wheel locks or glass breakage sensors. All you need next is push the summary button and see how much you have pay.
