As the automaker says “the all-new Lexus IS don’t simply break the mould, it destroys it” kind of sums it up when it comes to sport sedans.
The stunning IS 250 is the entry level model in the range. Priced at AU$55,900, its bonnet houses a 2.5-liter V6 engine generating 205 hp (153 kW) and 252 Nm. Coupled to a 6-speed automatic transmission sending the power to the rear wheels, the 250 can go from 0 to 100 km/ h (62 mph) in 8.1 seconds and reach a top speed of 225 km/h (140 mph).
Standard features include advanced voice recognition system, multi-connectivity display audio with eight speakers and digital signal processing with automatic sound levelizer, SmartAccess with push-button start/stop, stainless-steel front door scuff plates, 10-way adjustable driver’s seat, matte black interior trim, leather steering wheel/shifter knob and more.
There are also two optional packages to choose from and add more features to your IS 250 - the F Sport and the Sports Luxury pack. The F Sport adds goodies like 18-inch alloy wheels, sport suspension with variable dampers, rain-sensing wipers, auto-dimming mirror, blind spot warning, power adjustable steering wheel and driver seat memory. The Luxury kit comes with a 15-speaker Mark Levinson premium audio system, lane departure warning, active cruise control and auto high beam headlights.
The IS 250 F Sport will have a price tag of AU$64,000 while the Sports Luxury will set you back AU$77,900.
